The International Federation of the Clubs of Motorhomes was founded in 1976. The idea was to gather under the only one aegis the users of vehicles of dwellings. This idea made its way and perseveres in its direction first while seeking to improve its services.
It represents a force of more than 30 000 members who come from Belgium, of Spain, of France, of Italy, of Luxembourg, of Great Britain, of Switzerland, of the Netherlands and Portugal.
The goals of our Federation are:
-
To support the practice of our mode of leisure while trying to organize the parkings of our members at the time of their voyages.
-
To answer the questions of our members as regards European legislations (weight of the vehicles, driving licence etc...)
-
To support the meetings of our members by organizing meetings (EUROCC).
-
To try to give the greatest number of information by organizing an Internet site, in all the cases, to provide them all the known sites which speak motorhome.
-
To manage our statutes
-
To ask our members, to respect nature and its environment, to promote our public image, to cultivate the tolerance, to respect the local traditions and to station properly and judiciously. With this intention, each one has, at the time of a gathering of its own club, due to sign a charter justifying these points.
-
The Body of Administration formed of a President, of two associated Presidents, a Treasurer, a Secretary, an assistant Secretary and one or more representatives of the national Federations or national clubs meets at least twice the year. Once at the time of the EUROCC and once in mid-October.
This Body of Administration is made only of voluntary people, several of them are people in activity. This established fact generates difficulties of gathering.
At the time of the EUROCC, it is not rare to see more than 700 vehicles on a carpark to celebrate our mode of leisure.
Richard BLOCH (Swiss) President FICM from November 2000 to October 2003.
